Our practice affords you the latest in dental technology, including sedation dentistry as well as all of the modern conveniences our state-of the-art dentistry facility offers to our patients. Our top priority is to listen closely to our patients and provide them with the best care possible. What we learned from our patients and outside inquiries about our practice is how often people want the option for sedation or sleep dentistry. We embraced this new technology and have been providing this specialized procedure for a number of years now.
Rest assured that our practice addresses all types of dental issues from emergencies and injuries to complex oral surgery, root canal therapy, or full-mouth teeth replacement with dental implants. For any and all of these dental services we can offer you conscious sedation dentistry if you feel a bit uneasy about dental treatments.
Benefits of Sedation Dentistry
- Comfortable Treatment: You are not alone if you feel anxious about a visit to the dentist. We understand and empathize with these very real concerns. To help our patients who feel nervous about a dental procedures we’ve added sleep dentistry or sedation dentistry as another tool in our dental toolbox. Sedation dentistry is available for any patient who requests it and we offer it as another option to ensure we’re doing all we can to make every dental visit comfortable. “Oral Conscious Sedation,” another aspect of sedation dentistry, allows patients to be sedated, yet still fully responsive. Many of our patients opt for this procedure as the side effects more quickly subside than with anesthesia.
- Oral Surgery: The goal of modern dentistry is to prevent tooth loss. When a tooth cannot be saved, extraction (removal) of the tooth may be the only course of treatment. A series of full-mouth x-rays allows us to see a complete picture of the positioning of your teeth for performing tooth extractions. These types of x-rays also allow us to see if there is sufficient space for your third molars (Wisdom Teeth) to fully erupt. In addition, it is an excellent diagnostic tool for evaluating the supporting bone for possible cyst or tumors. While most surgeries are performed at our facility, Dr.Thomas may choose to refer to a oral surgeon for more complex cases.
Before & After Dental Work Photos
We’ve provided many actual before and after photos on our website of patients who requested sedation dentistry services with Dr. Thomas. This real-life sample shows how we can help you achieve that beautiful, healthy smile you’ve always wanted, without experiencing any anxiety during the dental procedure. We appreciate that not every patient wants to be photographed, yet as these images indicate, we can treat any dental problem you encounter and keep you comfortable and pain-free with oral conscious sedation or sleep sedation.
This was a case of a 48 year old woman who was simply tired of the discoloration and gaps between her teeth. She had been avoiding dentistry for many years because of dental phobia. Utilizing sedation dentistry to calm her fears, together with teeth whitening and porcelain crowns and bridges, we helped her to regain an active social life.
